Mother's Lap
~~~~~~~~
Telugu Poet: Ramana Velamakanni.
Translated By Vilasagaram Ravinder.
Searching my childhood
I entered into that surroundings...
Searching my footsteps
Rememberings did not lost
After passed away five decades...
Remembering the great teacher Subbaiah Masteru
Who broke my back for my Studies...
Sparkling in my eyes the lovely teacher Pal Sir
Who touched my cheeks smoothly...
Resounding to my ears as blessing words of Aham Aaham...
the unforgettable teacher Shashsri Guru
Who purified my tongue letters...
Perhaps
here or there wandering in Bansilalpeta
When I degraded into 10th rank
Ten times punishing Long Stick...
The letters
which were sprouting in this
soil are not remains as plants...
They had been blossoming as flowers...
When I entered into the stage
I felt like standing
in my mother's shoulder's
When I was given Mike for message
I am searching for the sound of Gamin (Allaari Vedavai)
into large walls of that surroundings...
At last
They asked me to plant a plant
I made my mind feelings as memories
And pour them on the plant feet like heaps...
That is not School
That is education field
That is warm Mother's Lap...
